New: Verifications Hub

Preparing and passing a carbon footprint verification is now simpler with the new Verifications Hub. It brings together two dedicated guides: a step-by-step method for clients (the 3-stage method, the pre-verification checklist, Guarantees of Origin, Scope 3, Dcycle’s internal pre-audit and the final report, with embedded walkthrough videos) and a technical guide for verifiers showing exactly where to find and validate every data point in Dcycle in reader mode. Waste emissions breakdown

We’ve split waste emissions (Scope 3, Category 5) into two components: management emissions from waste treatment and transport emissions from hauling waste to the facility. If your waste records include the distance to the treatment center, the breakdown appears automatically across pivot tables, reports, and Excel downloads.

Organizations following SBTi’s “Beyond the Boundary” approach can independently toggle waste transport in their GHG reports through project settings.

Wastewater treatment in pivot tables

You can now create pivot tables and visualizations from wastewater treatment plant data. The new “Waste water treatment” category adds 11 measures including CO2e emissions, influent and discharged water volumes, sludge, biogas, and organic-load ratios like BOD and COD. Data can be segmented by water type, facility, location, and time period.

Packaging catalog bulk import

Import your full packaging catalog with all materials in a single file. The updated template uses a one-row-per-component format, so you can describe complete bills of materials including recycled content percentages. Re-uploading the same file updates existing entries without creating duplicates. This is especially useful for PPWR compliance, which requires full material breakdowns.

Duplicate file warning during upload

Leia now detects potentially duplicate files during the classification phase of document uploads. When a duplicate is found, you’ll see a clear notice referencing the original document and can decide how to proceed. This prevents the same invoice from being counted twice, which improves audit accuracy and verification reliability.

Multi-product LCA

The LCA module now supports multiple final products from a single process. You can model co-products within one LCA, save each as a reusable part for future assessments, and allocate environmental impacts using economic, mass, energy, or custom percentage methods. Learn more about LCA in Dcycle.

LCA reports in PDF or Word

Generate LCA reports directly from the platform using the new Report Builder. The default template comes pre-populated with data, charts, and text aligned with ISO 14040, 14044, and 14067 standards. Customize the content with the built-in editor, then download as PDF or export to Word.

You can now assign risks, opportunities, and non-conformities to specific facilities instead of managing everything at the organization level. A new facility column and filter in the registers let site owners focus on their location’s concerns, streamlining internal audits and per-site reporting.

Improved business travel calculations

We’ve overhauled emissions calculations for business travel with full decimal precision from official sources and the flexibility to choose between DEFRA and Ecoinvent databases. Hotel overnight stays are now included as a new calculation category. We recommend recalculating historical data to take advantage of the improved methodology.

New emission factor database: HuellaChile

HuellaChile, Chile’s official emission factor program from the Ministry of the Environment, is now available in Dcycle. Both 2024 and 2025 versions are included, covering Scope 1 and 2 factors for vehicles, electricity, and combustion. Select the applicable year in your emission factors settings to apply them automatically.

A new tool in Data > Facilities lets you view all electricity supply point codes (CUPS) across your organization, find duplicates, and merge them in one action. All affected invoices are updated automatically, so you can fix dozens of records at once instead of editing them individually.

Leia now provides step-by-step feedback when you upload files: storage, classification, data extraction with facility identification, manual review, and final categorization with calculated metrics. You can monitor processing progress while continuing other work.

Ask Leia to build dashboard widgets using natural language. Describe what you want (“water consumption by facility in a table”) and Leia selects the right category, dimensions, metrics, and dates. Datadis electricity bill splitting
