EINF data checklist: what to collect before you start

This checklist covers the documents you need before loading data into Dcycle for an EINF under Ley 11/2018. Collect everything below before opening the platform — it is faster to upload in one session than to pause and track down documents while forms are open.

Scope 1 — Fixed combustion

Gas, diesel, or propane used in boilers, heaters, and generators.

If a facility uses district heating, confirm with your Customer Success contact how it should be categorised before uploading.

Scope 1 — Refrigerant gases

Often overlooked

Refrigerant recharges are the most frequently missed data category in EINF submissions. For companies with refrigerated storage or commercial air conditioning, they can represent more than half of all Scope 1 emissions. Request records from your maintenance provider before doing anything else — missing them will be flagged by the verifier.

Under the GHG Protocol, the amount recharged during the year equals the amount that leaked — you report recharges, not estimates.

Scope 1 — Fleet vehicles

Fuel consumed by vehicles owned or leased by the organisation.

If you have a fuel card contract, the provider can usually export a full-year summary in Excel.

Scope 2 — Electricity

Electricity purchased from the grid at every supply point.

OR: Datadis credentials	Log in to Datadis and authorise Dcycle — no invoices needed	You (if your organisation is registered on Datadis)

For Spanish supply points, connecting Datadis pulls all your CUPS automatically and is the fastest path.

Environmental — Water and waste

Required by the Environmental pillar of the EINF, but not part of Scope 1 or 2 greenhouse gas emissions.

Waste records must distinguish between hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and where possible between recovery and disposal.

What you do NOT need

For a standard Ley 11/2018 EINF covering Scope 1 and 2, the following categories are not required:

Purchased goods and services (Scope 3, Category 1)
Business travel and employee commuting (Scope 3, Categories 6–7)
Goods shipped to customers (Scope 3, Category 9)
Capital goods / CapEx (Scope 3, Category 2)

If your sustainability strategy includes Scope 3, you can load that data alongside your Scope 1 and 2 — it won’t affect your EINF compliance, and it will be available for other reports.
