Authorize a new CUPS for Dcycle in Datadis

When you add a new electricity supply point (CUPS) in Spain, Dcycle can only import its consumption once you authorize that CUPS in Datadis. This guide shows how to grant access from the Datadis portal and what to do if the new CUPS doesn't appear.

Before you start

  • Your company must already have the Datadis connection set up in Dcycle. If not, follow Connect Datadis first.
  • You must be the holder of the new supply point. Datadis only lets you authorize CUPS that are registered under your name or CIF at that moment.

All steps in this guide happen on the Datadis portal. The Datadis interface is in Spanish, so button names are shown in Spanish with their English meaning.

Step 1: Sign in to Datadis

  1. Go to datadis.es and click “Acceder” (Sign in).
  2. Sign in with your username and password, or with your company’s digital certificate.
  3. Check that you are using the right profile: “Particular” (individual) or “Empresa” (company).

Step 2: Open the authorizations section

  1. In the side menu, go to “Mis suministros” (My supply points).
  2. Open the “Usuarios que he autorizado” (Users I have authorized) tab.
  3. Click “+ Autorizar nuevos usuarios” (Authorize new users).

Step 3: Enter Dcycle’s details

In the form:

  1. Authorize Dcycle using the CIF B88511373.
  2. Select the “fecha de inicio” (start date) of the authorization. Dcycle can read consumption from this date onwards.
  3. Enter an end date if the form asks for one.
  4. Under “¿A qué CUPS tendrá acceso este usuario?” (Which CUPS will this user have access to?), choose:
    • “A todos mis CUPS” (All my CUPS) to give access to all your supply points.
    • “Sólo a algunos CUPS” (Only some CUPS) to authorize specific supply points only.

Step 4: Select the new CUPS

If you chose “Sólo a algunos CUPS”:

  1. Find the CUPS you want to authorize.
  2. Check that it matches the right supply point. The CUPS code is printed on your electricity invoice.
  3. Select it to include it in the authorization.
  4. Make sure you haven’t selected other CUPS by mistake.

Step 5: Send the authorization

  1. Review the details you entered.
  2. Click “Enviar autorizaciones” (Send authorizations).
  3. Go back to “Usuarios que he autorizado” to check the status of the request.

Step 6: Check that the authorization is active

Dcycle should appear in the list, with the authorization shown as active or accepted. From then on, Dcycle imports the consumption of the new CUPS on the 8th of each month, together with the rest of your authorized supply points.

If the new CUPS doesn’t appear in Datadis

If you have just signed a new supply contract and the CUPS isn’t in the list:

  • Check that the contract is active.
  • Check that the holder of the supply point matches your Datadis user.
  • Check that the CUPS is correctly shown on the invoice.
  • Try again later. New supply points can take some time to become available in Datadis.
