Filter emissions by project, period or facility

Use Dcycle's filters to segment your emissions by project, period, facility or scope. This is how you isolate a specific reporting scope, compare year over year, or answer questions like "what were our Scope 1 emissions for our Madrid office in Q2 2025?".

Use Dcycle’s filters to segment your emissions by project, period, facility or scope. This is how you isolate a specific reporting scope, compare year over year, or answer questions like “what were our Scope 1 emissions for our Madrid office in Q2 2025?”.

Before you start

You need the Viewer role in your Dcycle organization.

Steps

Step 1

Filters live inside each project. From the home page, open the project whose data you want to segment. The project’s dashboard becomes the starting point.

Step 2

At the top of the dashboard, the period selector controls the time range — choose a year, a quarter or a custom range. All charts and tables update to that period. If your fiscal year is not the calendar year, the selector respects it (see “Configure a fiscal year other than calendar year”).

Step 3

Use the scope filter chips (Scope 1, 2, 3 — or specific categories like Electricity, Vehicles, Travel) to drill into a specific scope. You can stack multiple filters: for example, Scope 2 + Spain + Q3 2025 = electricity emissions from Spanish facilities only in the third quarter.

Step 4

For organizations with multiple sites, the facility filter restricts everything to a specific site or a group of sites. Useful for comparing performance across locations or for site-specific audits.

Step 5

Any filter you apply to the dashboard carries over to the export. If you go to “Reports” and download Excel after filtering, only the rows matching your filters are included — see “Export data to Excel”.
